Alek Wasserman has an extensive background as a music educator, with a proven track record of both piano lessons and public school music education. He has taught students of all ability levels from ages four to retirees over the last five years. Alek taught for four years as the founding music teacher at Davidson Charter Academy in Lexington, where he built the music program from scratch.

Alek is also an active pianist, serving as a pianist at the rank of Sergeant for the 440th Army Band of the NC National Guard since 2019. He began his performance career with a solo recital at the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum in his hometown of Milwaukee, WI, in 2018. He gigs outside of his military piano commitments, as well.
